SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
Beechcraft 400 Series Aeroplanes
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
AD/BEECH 400/16 Aft Fuselage Fuel Drain Tube Assembly 3/2000

Applicability: Model 400A aeroplanes serial numbers RK-1 through RK-92 inclusive.
Requirement: 1. Replace the existing aft fuselage fuel drain tube assembly, part number (P/N) 128- 920151-1 with a new, modified tube assembly, P/N 128-920237-1, in accordance with Raytheon Aircraft Service Bulletin SB.28-3076, dated October, 1997.
2. A P/N 128-920151-1 must not be installed as a replacement item on an aeroplane.
Note: FAA AD 99-21-08 refers.
Compliance: 1. Within 200 flight hours after the effective date of this Airworthiness Directive.
2. As of the effective date of this Airworthiness Directive.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 27 January 2000.
Background: Chafing of the fuel drain tube assembly by the elevator control cable has occurred which could result in fuel leakage from the fuel drain tube assembly and consequent risk of fire.
