Beechcraft 400 Series Aeroplanes
AD/BEECH 400/8 Main Wheel Well Wiring Harness 9/94
Applicability: Model 400A aircraft with serial numbers RK-1 through RK-41 inclusive.
Requirement: 1. Perform a general visual inspection to detect damage of the wiring harness in both of the main landing gear (MLG) wheel wells in accordance with Beechcraft Mandatory Service Bulletin 2479 Revision 1 dated November 1993.
2. If any damage is found during the visual inspection, then prior to further flight, re- route and rectify the wiring harness in accordance with the Beechcraft Service Bulletin.

Compliance: Within 200 hours' time in service after 18 August 1994.
Background: Beechcraft has received reports of damage to the MLG wheel well wiring harnesses caused by contact with spinning main wheel tyres following landing gear retraction. The damage could result in the loss of control of the fuel supply to the engine or loss of control of the retraction/extension system for the MLG and MLG doors. The FAA compliance date is extended by approximately one calendar month.
