Beechcraft 99 Series Aeroplanes
AD/BEECH 99/3 Wing Attach Fittings, Bolts and Nuts 5/95
Applicability: All model 99, 99A, A99A, B99 and C99 aircraft.
Requirement: 1. For serial numbers U-1 to U-179, U-181 to U-184, U-186 to U-192 and U-194 to U-196 replace the steel outboard wing attach bolts and nuts with inconel bolts and nuts in accordance with Beechcraft Service Instruction (SI) 1235.
2. Inspect the inconel outboard wing attach bolts and nuts in accordance with Beechcraft Structural Inspection and Repair Manual 98-39006A4, Section 57-15- 00, pages 214 - 227.
3. Replace time expired inconel outboard wing attach bolts and nuts. Compliance: 1. Replace steel bolts and nuts before further flight after 27 September 1995. 2. Inspect inconel bolts and nuts at intervals not to exceed 5 years component time in service.
3. Replace inconel bolts and nuts at intervals not to exceed 15 years component time in service.
Background: This Directive requires replacement of critical, safety of flight, life limited items. Similar Directives are already in place for other Beech aircraft with similar wing structure.
