Emergency Exits - Modification and Inspection 8/84
Applicability: All model 204B helicopters.
Requirement: PART 1
1. Install emergency exit decals and release handle covers in accordance with Bell S.B. 204-75-2 Rev. A.
b. Install spacers to the interior and exterior emergency escape release handle covers in accordance with Bell S.B. 204.77.2.
c. Provide and identify additional inspection holes in the lefthand and righthand passenger door assemblies in accordance with Bell S.B. 204-77-5.
d. Add a painted strip around the cylinder part of each emergency escape locking pin using white or other suitable colour.
PART 2
Perform the six month and annual inspections of the crew doors emergency ejection system and the passenger/cargo doors emergency escape panels in accordance with Bell T.B. 204-78-1.
Compliance: 1. Unless already accomplished modify in accordance with requirement Part 1, Items a, b, c and d within 100 hours' time in service after 31 August 1984.
2. Unless already accomplished inspect in accordance with requirement Part 2 at the intervals prescribed in the requirement document after 31 August 1984.
