SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
Bell Helicopter Textron Canada (BHTC) 206 and Agusta Bell 206 Series Helicopters
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
AD/BELL 206/147 Fuel System 9/2001
Applicability: Agusta Bell AB 206A, AB 206B and AB 206BIII helicopters equipped with fuel boost pump, P/No 206-062-681.
Requirement: Inspect the fuel system to verify the correct configuration of the fuel system components in accordance with Agusta Bolletino Tecnico 206-232.
Note: RAI AD 2000-356 refers.
Compliance: Unless previously accomplished, within 100 flight hours of the effective date of this Airworthiness Directive but no later than 31 October 2001.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 6 September 2001.
Background: This Directive is prompted by advice from the Italian RAI that an Augusta AB 206 accident was attributed to a fuel system configuration error.
