AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE On the effective date specified below, and for the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/BELL 47/69 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Tail Rotor Control Pedal Assembly Interference Bracket

Applicability: All model 47G series.
Requirement: 1. Verify interference (stop) brackets P/N 47-622-165-1 are correctly installed under pilot's and co-pilot's inboard footrest. (See figure 1).
2. Correctly install interference (stop) brackets P/N 47-622-165-1 where these brackets are not installed, or incorrectly installed.
Note: The bracket prevents fitment of incorrectly assembled dual control tail rotor pedals.

Compliance: For requirement 1, unless previously accomplished, within 10 flight hours after the effective date of this Directive and thereafter, at intervals not to exceed 12 months.

This Amendment becomes effective on 30 September 2004.
