SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
AD/BN-2/70 Elevator Outboard Hinge Bracket 10/2000
Applicability: Models BN2, BN2A, BN2B, BN2T, and BN2T-4S aircraft, as qualified by Section 3, 'Applicability', of the Service Bulletin referred to in the 'Requirement' below.
Requirement: Inspect the elevator outboard hinge bracket in accordance with B-N Group Service Bulletin BN2/SB.259 Issue 1.
Compliance: Inspect within 100 hours time in service after 5 October 2000.
Then, reinspect at intervals not to exceed:
* 1000 hours, if the hinge bracket has been replaced in accordance with Part 2 of the Service Bulletin; or
* 100 hours, if not.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 5 October 2000.
Background: The manufacturer has received reports of cracks and loose rivets found in some elevator outboard hinge, inboard brackets, part number NB-31-0077. This Directive requires inspections.
