AD/CAP 10/1 Engine Mount Welds 13/90
Applicability: All CAP 10B models.
Requirement: Perform a dye penetrant inspection of the engine mount top welds, as shown in Avions Mudry Service Bulletin No 4, dated 17 November 1977, in accordance with the procedures specified in CAO 108.10, Issue 1, dated 1 September 1971.
Compliance: Prior to exceeding 1000 hours total time in service, and thereafter at intervals not to exceed 100 hours time in service.
Background: There have been several reported instances of fatigue cracks propagating from the welds at the top of the engine mount.
