AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/CAP 10/8 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Aileron Bellcrank Bolts 2/2005 DM
Applicability: APEX AIRCRAFT CAP10B aeroplanes,
1. Serial number (SN) up to 299 inclusive, modified in accordance with the modification 000302 "CAP10C wing"; and
b. SN 300 through SN 310 inclusive; and
c. SN 312 & 313.
Requirement: Replace aileron bellcrank pivot bolts in accordance with the APEX aircraft Service Bulletin 031101 dated 16 July 2004 or later revision approved by DGAC / EASA.
Note: DGAC France Airworthiness Directive (AD) F-2004-144 dated 18 August 2004 as approved under EASA reference 2004-8598 dated 10 August 2004 refers.
Compliance: Unless previously accomplished, within 50 flight hours, from the effective date of this AD.
This Amendment becomes effective on 23 December 2004.
Background: During rapid descent, vibrations were observed in the aileron system of a CAP10C aircraft. Replacing the aileron bellcrank bolts together with the washers installed between the brackets will reduce the play and the resultant vibrations in the control system.
