AD/CASA/18 Power Quadrant Slots 9/96
Applicability: All models.
Requirement: 1. Inspect the power control levers slot protection installed in accordance with AD/CASA/11 and/or CASA SB 212-76-05 for deterioration to the point where foreign objects may no longer be excluded from the quadrant; i.e. a quadrant slot may no longer fulfil the intent of AD/CASA/11.
2. If deterioration is found, modify the quadrant in accordance with CASA SB 212-76-08.
Note: Spanish DGAC AD 04/96 refers.
Compliance: Within 300 hours time in service or 3 months after 15 August 1996, whichever occurs first; thereafter at intervals not exceeding 300 hours time in service or 3 months, whichever occurs first, until modified.
Background: Wear in the power lever slots may allow a foreign object to fall into the power lever quadrant and restrict the movement of, or jam, the power lever/s.
