AD/CESSNA 206/55 - Horizontal Stabiliser Attachment Brackets - 2 (Cth)

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE

For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Applicability: Model Serial Numbers P206C and TP206C P206-0420 through P206-0519 P206D and TP206D P206-0520 through P206-0603 P206E and TP206E P20600604 through P20600647, and P206-0001 U206C and TU206C U206-0915 through U206-1234 U206D and TU206D U206-1235 through U206-1444, U20601445 through U20601587 U206E and TU206E U20601588 through 20601700 U206F and TU206F U20601701 through U20602588, U20602590 through U20603521 U206G and TU206G 676, U20602589, U20603522 through U20607020

Requirement: 1. Check the maintenance records, and determine whether a horizontal stabiliser attachment reinforcement bracket (bracket) part number (P/N) 1232624-1 is installed that was shipped by Cessna from 27 February 1998 through 17 March 2000. If the installed brackets were not shipped by Cessna between 27 February 1998 and 17 March 2000, no further action is required by this Directive.
