Normal Operating and Never Exceed Speed Limitations - Reduction

Applicability: Models PA24, PA24-250 and PA24-260. Requirement: Reduce Vno and Vne speeds as follows: 1. Aircraft not incorporating Rudder Balance Weight Installations Kit, Piper P/N 760705:
PA-24 reduce Vne to 160 kts. IAS; PA24-250 and PA24-260 reduce Vno to 147 Kts. IAS and Vne to 165 Kts. IAS.
2. Aircraft incorporating Rudder Balance Weight Installation Kit, Piper P/N 760705:
PA-24 reduce Vne to 172 kts. IAS; PA24-250 and PA24-260 reduce Vno to 158 kts. IAS and Vne to 179 kts. IAS.
Note 1: For PA24-250 and PA24-260 type aeroplanes incorporating Stabilator Piper Service Kit No. 760747 in addition to Rudder Piper Service Kit No. 760705 - Vne may be increased to 201 knots.
Note 2: This Directive reflects the contents of FAA AD Piper 72-22-5 Amdt. 39-1545 as amended by Amdt. 39-2052.
Compliance: For Para. 1 - Before 10 November 1972.
For Para. 2 - Within 30 days after 10 November 1972.
