AD/ROTAX/1 Ignition Unit Rework 3/94 DM Applicability: All Rotax 912 A series engines up to and including serial number 4,076.022. Requirement: If not previously accomplished in accordance with Bombardier Rotax Technical Bulletin 912-02 dated 15 February 1993, then action in accordance with Bombardier Rotax Technical Bulletin 912-02 Revision 1 dated 25 October 1993.
Note: BAZ (Austria) AD 75 dated 1 December 1993 refers.
Compliance: Prior to 28 February 1994.
Background: Bombardier Rotax has advised that cases of corrosion between the stator and ignition housing at the attachment screws have been reported. This corrosion causes insufficient ground connection which could result in ignition failures. Compliance date required by the BAZ is extended by approximately one month in this Directive.
