AD/ROTAX/3 Ignition Electronic Module Wiring 5/95 DM
Applicability: All 912 A series engines from serial number 4,076.064.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Bombardier Rotax Mandatory Technical Bulletin 912-07 dated 30 January 1995.
Note: Austro Control (Austria) AD 82 dated 3 February 1995 refers.
Compliance: Within 100 hours time in service after 15 March 1995, but no later than 30 April 1995.
Background: Bombardier Rotax have reported that electromagnetic interference (EMI) from radio transmitters could cause ignition failure due to inadequate grounding. This Directive introduces new requirements to ensure that cable shields are correctly grounded, the Austrian compliance is extended by 45 days for Australian registered aircraft.
