Flight Control Rods 13/95
Applicability: All Model SC7 aircraft.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Shorts Service Bulletin 27-74 Revision 1.
Compliance: Within 60 days after 25 May 1995; thereafter at intervals not to exceed 1200 hours time in service or 2 calendar years, whichever occurs first.
The compliance date of the previous issue of this Directive remains unchanged. This Amendment is effective from 7 December 1995. Background: Pitting Corrosion, and Stress Corrosion cracking has been discovered in the flight control rods.
Amendment 1 is issued in response to a revision of the Requirement Document which increases the calendar time repetitive inspection period.
