COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
Short SC7 (Skyvan) Series Aeroplanes
AD/SC7/25 Brake Unit Friction Pads 2/96
Applicability: All Shorts Skyvan and Shorts Skyliner aircraft, with Dunlop Brake Unit Part No. AHA2133 or AH52109 installed.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Dunlop Limited Mandatory Service Bulletin 32-1108.
Note: Shorts Service Bulletin 32-71 refers.
Compliance: Unless already accomplished, before 31 December 1995; thereafter as specified in the Requirement Document.
Background: A new friction pad material has been introduced because of the unavailability of the previously used material. Dynamometer tests have now shown that the permitted friction pad wear must be reduced to make sure that the brake can achieve a maximum high energy or rejected take-off stop.
