COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
Short SD3-30 Series Aeroplanes
AD/SD3-30/28 LP Levers 11/93
Applicability: All SD330 aircraft.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Shorts Service Bulletin SD330-28-35.
Note: FAA Airworthiness Directive 92-27-17 refers.
Compliance: Prior to 31 December 1993.
Background: This Directive has been issued to require the left and right low pressure (LP) fuel shut-off levers to be locked in the open position. The LP levers are to be locked by using securing wire which can be broken in an emergency. The requirement follows reports of the LP levers being inadvertently selected off when closing the fuel crossfeed valve levers.
