AD/SD3-60/13 Fuel System - Fuel Pipe Shrouds 9/85
Applicability: All model SD3-60 with S/Nos SH3601 to SH3661 and SH3663 to SH 3665. Requirement: Action in accordance with Shorts SB SD360-28-12. Compliance: 1. Carry out "Inspection of the collector tank housings for evidence of fuel leakage" called for in the Shorts Maintenance Programme (Zonal Inspection 5-27-01, Page 6, Item 17) at every second 'A' check (120 hours time in service) after 31 October 1985 until modified.
2. Modify before 31 July 1986.
3. On completion of the modification, the inspection intervals referred to in item one (1) of the compliance may return to the normal Maintenance Programme intervals.
Background: The manufacturer advises that operational experience has found that certain of the existing fumeproof shronds can deteriorate and become porous. New shrouds manufactured to an improved specification have therefore been introduced.
