Short SD3-60 Series Aeroplanes
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/SD3-60/48 Amdt 1 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Stub Wing Shear Deck and Rib Corrosion 8/2001
Applicability: All SD3-60 aircraft.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Shorts Mandatory Service Bulletin SD360-53-43 Revision 2.
Note: UK CAA AD 006-11-97 refers.
Compliance: Initial Inspection: Unless the initial inspection is already accomplished and the required drain holes embodied; before 25 September 1999.
Subsequent Inspection:
Where no corrosion is found, or where all corroded items have been replaced in accordance with the Requirement document, inspect in accordance with Aircraft Maintenance Program Chapter 5-26-57.
Where corrosion is found and remedial action taken to remove the corrosion, inspect in accordance with the Requirement document every 12 calendar months thereafter.
The compliance time for the initial inspection remains unchanged for this issue of the Directive.
