AD/SEATS/6 Aviatech Flight Crew Seats 7/91
Applicability: Aviatech Inc. pilot & co-pilot seats Model 394, P/N's 394-(000)-01, -02, -03, -04, -05 and -06, and 394-(001)-01, -02, -03, -04, -05 and -06, approved by Transport Canada under TSO Design Approval C39A used on de Havilland DHC-8 aircraft.
Requirement: Action in accordance with the Requirements of Transport Canada AD CF-91-04.
Note: Aviatech SB 2 Rev A refers.
Compliance: Prior to 1 September 1991.
Background: There have been cases of excessive wear and fraying of the pilot and co-pilot shoulder harness caused by rubbing of the shoulder harness on the guides located on top of the seat-back. Compliance date required by Transport Canada is extended by one month due to receipt date of Canadian Directive.
