COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
SAAB SF340 Series Aeroplanes
AD/SF340/51 Engine Nacelle Fire Extinguisher Wiring 3/96
Applicability: This Directive is applicable to Model SF 340A aeroplanes serial numbers SF340-004 through -159 inclusive and Model 340B aeroplanes serial numbers 340B-160 through -345 inclusive.
Requirement: Inspect and modify the engine nacelle fire extinguisher wiring in accordance with SAAB Aircraft AB Service Bulletin SAAB 340-26-015 dated 23 November 1995.
Note: Swedish (LFV) SAD 1-079 refers.
Compliance: No later than the next 4000 flight hour inspection (C check) after 29 February 1996.
Background: This Directive supersedes AD/SF340/39. SAAB Aircraft AB have advised that the possibility still exists for incorrect connection of the nacelle fire extinguishers despite incorporation of the modification required by AD/SF340/39. The actions required by this Directive are designed to ensure that the possibility of incorrect installation of fire extinguisher electrical wiring connections is minimised.
