Propeller Governor Arm - Inspection and Replacement

Applicability: S205 Series aircraft with S/Nos. up to and including 5-406, and S208 Series aircraft with S/Nos. up to and including 4-64. Requirement: Inspect the propeller governor arm in accordance with SIAI MARCHETTI Service Bulletin 205B43A.
Fitment of steel governor arm, P/No. 260-13-274-01, as per paragraph "C" of SB 205B43A is terminating action for this Directive.
Note: Italian AD 77-222 also refers.
Compliance: Unless previously accomplished, within 25 hours time in service from 10 November 1994, and thereafter at intervals not exceeding 50 hours time in service.
Background: Cracking of the propeller governor arm has been reported.
Failure of the governor arm will result in loss of propeller control.
