COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES SIAI Marchetti S205 and S208 Series Aeroplanes AD/SM-205/30 Amdt 3 Main Landing Gear Brace Assembly 10/95 Applicability: All models S205, 208 and 208A, fitted with any of the main gear brace assemblies referenced in the Requirement Document. Requirement: 1. Inspect in accordance with SIAI Marchetti Service Bulletin 205B48 F, and repair as necessary, in accordance with SIAI Marchetti Service Instruction 205IS26A Note: RAI AD 95-120 refers. Compliance: At the next inspection due in accordance with the previous issue of this Directive, thereafter in accordance with Requirement Document. The previous issue of this Directive was dated August 1971 and compliance was based on component hours time in service. Background: Cracks have been found in MLG Brace Assemblies modified to SB 205B36 which was terminating action for a previous inspection. Replacement braces of later P/N are also affected. Amendment 3 references the latest inspection document and the RAI AD, and introduces a repair scheme.
