AD/SUPP/4 Air Equipment Rescue Hoist - Inspection and Modification of Squib

Applicability: Air Equipment Rescue Hoists P/Nos. 76370, 76370-010, 76370-020 and 76375.
Note: These hoists may be installed on (but not limited to) the following helicopters:- Aerospatiale SA 341, SA 342, 3160, 316, 319, AS350, AS 355, SA 360C, SA 365C and SA 365N.
Requirement: 1. Inspect and modify hoists P/Nos. 76370, 76370-010 and 76370-020 in accordance with Air Equipment Service Bulletin 25-62-0C Rev. 1 or later approved revisions.
2. Inspect and modify hoist P/No. 76375 in accordance with Air Equipment Service Bulletin 25-69-0B Rev. 1 or later approved revisions.
3. For hoists not modified in accordance with paras. 1 and 2 provide a hand cable cutter capable of ensuring a positive quick cable cut.
Compliance: For Paras. 1 and 2 - Before 1 October 1982. For Para. 3 - Before operation of the hoist. Background: There have been several reported overseas defects which could cause the pyrotechnical shearing device to become inoperative.
