SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
Aerospatiale (Socata) TBM 700 Series Aeroplanes
AD/TBM 700/11 Flap Carriages 6/95
Applicability: TBM 700 aircraft S/N 1 to 92, 97 and 98.
Requirement: 1. Visually inspect the web of the inboard and outboard flap carriages on the left and right hand flaps. Inspect in accordance with SOCATA Service Bulletin (SB) 70- 048-57, Amendment 1, Accomplishment Instructions, Paragraph B.
2. For aircraft S/N 1 to 19, 21, 22 ,24 to 32, 34 to 68, 70 to 91; replace the attaching bolts and screws in accordance with SB 70-048-57, Amendment 1, Accomplishment Instructions, Paragraph D.
Note: French DGAC AD 94-110(B) R1 refers.
Compliance: 1. Inspect aircraft flap carriages with more than 300 hours time in service before 10 hours time in service after 25 May 1995.
Inspect aircraft flap carriages with less than 300 hours time in service at the next scheduled maintenance check after 25 May 1995 or before 310 hours time in service, whichever occurs first.
Re-inspect at intervals not to exceed:
(a) 50 hours, if the flap carriage is cracked and stop drilled within limits prescribed in SB 70-048-57; or,
(b) 100 hours, if the flap carriage is not cracked.
2. Unless already accomplished, replace attaching bolts and screws at the next inspection after 25 May 1995 or before installation of new flap carriage fittings.
Replacement of flap carriages with new design carriages in accordance with SB 70-048-57, Amendment 1, and Chapter 57-50-03 of the TBM 700 Maintenance Manual cancels the inspection requirements of this Directive.
Background: This inspection is to verify the flap rail integrity.
