Aerospatiale (Socata) TBM 700 Series Aeroplanes
AD/TBM 700/18 Oxygen Generators 11/98 DM
Applicability: TBM 700 series aeroplanes, serial number 1 and up, without Socata modification No 70-099-35 incorporated.
Requirement: Replace the striker pin and install a washer on each oxygen generator in accordance with Socata Mandatory Service Bulletin 70-046-35 dated May 1998.
Note: DGAC Telegraphic AD T98-195 (A) refers.
Compliance: At the next scheduled maintenance inspection, but no later than 11 September 1998.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 12 August 1998.
Background: This directive requires the replacement of the oxygen generator striker pin which decreases the likelihood of the striker pin failing to release the striker and the oxygen generator not operating.
