SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
Aerospatiale (Socata) TBM 700 Series Aeroplanes
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
AD/TBM 700/24 Fuel Tank Vent Hose 3/2001 DM
Applicability: TBM 700 aircraft with serial numbers 1 through 182 inclusive.
Requirement: Inspect fuel tank vent hoses in accordance with Socata Alert Service Bulletin, TBM 700 No 70-088-28.
Note: DGAC AD 2000-545(A) refers.
Compliance: Within 5 flying hours after the effective date of this Airworthiness Directive, but no later than 14 February 2001.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 31 January 2001.
Background: This Directive is prompted by advice that aircraft may have been delivered with non conforming fuel tank vent hoses, which could result in blocking the fuel tank vent system leading to structural damage to the wing skin.
