SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

Applicability: EADS SOCATA TBM 700 aircraft Serial Number (S/N) 285 to 304 and S/N 307. Requirement: 1. Comply with the operational procedures detailed in paragraph A of
Accomplishment Instructions of EADS SOCATA Alert Service Bulletin (ASB)
No. 70-123 or later DGAC approved revisions.
2. Check the batch number identified on the control cables and carry out replacement of the cables as necessary as detailed in paragraph B of the Accomplishment Instructions EADS SOCATA ASB No. 70-123.
Note: DGAC AD UF-2004-175 EASA approval number 2004-10823 dated 27 October 2004 refers.
Compliance: For Requirement 1: Prior to the next flight after the effective date of this Directive. For Requirement 2: Within 25 flight hours after the effective date of this Directive. This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 10 November 2004.
Background: The manufacturer has advised that there have been failures of control cables due to incorrect crimping during manufacture. A failure in the crimp could lead to a reduction in the propeller RPM during flight.
