COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
TECNAM P92, P96, and P2002 Series Aeroplanes
AD/TECNAM/1 Fin Rear Spar 12/2003
Applicability: Model P92-J aircraft, serial numbers 001 through 012, except serial number 003. Requirement: 1. Inspect in accordance with Instructions Paragraph 1.1 of Tecnam Service Bulletin No. P92J-09.
If a crack or other discrepancy is detected by any Requirement 1 inspection, before further flight, contact the manufacturer to obtain further instructions.
2. Modify in accordance with Instructions Paragraph 1.2 of Tecnam Service Bulletin No. P92J-09.
Note: ENAC AD 2003-260 refers.
Compliance: 1. Before further flight after 27 November 2003, unless already accomplished. Thereafter inspect at intervals not to exceed 50 flight hours until Requirement 2 is accomplished.
2. For aircraft that have accumulated less than 600 total flight hours at the effective date of this Directive; at the next 600 hours scheduled special inspection after 27 November 2003.
