COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES PZL 104 (Wilga) Series Aeroplanes AD/WILGA/1 Amdt 3 Applicability: All models. Airworthiness Limitation 10/97 Requirement: 1. For aeroplanes up to Series 21, except aircraft with manufacturer number CF21950952, CF21950954, CF21950959, CF21950960 and CF21950961: Retire the fuselage spar framework CE 111500 (wing carry through spar) from service. 2. Retire the airframe from service. Note: PZL Service Bulletin No 10496025 refers. Compliance: 1. For requirement 1, before 2600 hours time in service. 2. For requirement 2, before 5200 hours time in service. This amendment is effective from 11 September 1997. Background: This directive specifies the airworthiness limitations of the PZL-104 Wilga 80 airframe. This amendment reflects the latest issue of the applicable mandatory service bulletin. Extension of the service life from 2600 hours to 5200 hours for early models no longer requires replacement of the lower main wing ferrule. For later models, no items need be replaced to achieve the service life of 5200 hours. Amendment 1 of this AD extended the fatigue life limitation from 2400 hours to 5200 hours. Amendment 2 clarified the actions required to extend the airframe fatigue life limitation to 5200 hours. Amendment 2 of this Airworthiness Directive became effective on 22 June 1995. Amendment 1 of this Airworthiness Directive became effective on 27 December 1990. The original issue of this Airworthiness Directive became effective on 1 November 1990.
