SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Harbin Y12 Series Aeroplanes
AD/Y12/9 Central Control Pedestal 3/2003
Applicability: Y12 aeroplanes listed in Harbin Aircraft Manufacturing Corporation Service Bulletin (SB) Y12-76-0036 dated 3 August 1992.
Requirement: If not previously accomplished, modify the central control pedestal in accordance with SB Y12-76-0036.
This modification should be incorporated in conjunction with the modification to the flap motoreducer, SB Y12-27-0035 and AD/Y12/10 refers.
Note: China CAAC AD CAD92-Y012-04 Amdt 39-0811 refers.
Compliance: Before 30 June 2003.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 20 March 2003.
Background: This Directive requires the modification of the central control pedestal power lever reverse locking unit, the control switch panel and indicator light. These modifications are designed to prevent inadvertent operation of the reverse locking device at idle, which may cause the power lever to enter reverse.
