SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.

AD/Z-242L/5 Engine Oil System Adhesive Joints 3/2003

Applicability: All Z 242L series aircraft.
Requirement: 1. Inspect the engine oil system plumbing for evidence of loosening of the "Tee" assembly part number (P/N) L 242.7100-06.00 or L 242.7600-06.00 and "Elbow" assembly P/N L 242.7100-05.00 in accordance with Moravan Mandatory Bulletin Z 242L/42a.
2. Amend the Z 242L Maintenance Manual (document number 003.021.1) in accordance with Moravan Mandatory Bulletin Z 242L/42a.
Note: Czech Republic Airworthiness Directive CAA-AD-098/2002 refers.
Compliance: Requirement 1: Within 10 hours aircraft time in service from the effective date of this directive and thereafter at each scheduled aircraft periodic inspection.
Requirement 2: No later than next scheduled aircraft periodic inspection. This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 29 January 2003.
Background: This directive has been issued to address the possibility of loosening of the adhesive joints in the engine oil system plumbing may obstruct the flow of oil to the engine and result in engine failure.
