AD/CESSNA 340/26
Amdt 2
Crossfeed Fuel Line 1/91
Applicability: Models 340 and 340A with Serial Nos 340-0001 through 340A 1817. Requirement: Action in accordance with Cessna Service Bulletin No MEB 87-7 Revision 1.
Note 1: Aircraft certified as being modified in accordance with Rex Aviation Tech. Memo No TM-26/A meet the requirement of this Directive. Cancelled AD/CESSNA 340/22 refers.
Note 2: FAA AD 88-03-07 Amdt 39-5841 refers.
Compliance: Effective 24 January 1991 - prior to the issue of the next Maintenance Release. Background: This Directive has been amended to reflect the cancellation of CAO 105
AD/CESSNA 340/22. This directive was issued following advice that the FAA had
received reports of fuel leaks caused by chafing of the crossfeed fuel lines. The requirements of this AD will ensure proper clearance between the crossfeed fuel lines and firewall stiffener and eliminate the potential fire hazard due to fuel leakage. This requirement duplicated the requirement of AD/CESSNA 340/22, therefore AD/CESSNA 340/22 has been cancelled.
