COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below revokes Airworthiness Directive (AD) AD/CESSNA 400/52 Amdt 1 and issues the following AD under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CASR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
Cessna 400 Series Aeroplanes
AD/CESSNA 400/52 Amdt 2
Trim Control Systems - Inspection 7/2004
Applicability: All models Cessna 401, 402, 404, 411, 414 and 421 series aircraft. Requirement: Cessna SL ME77-34 Supplement 1, dated February 13, 1978. Compliance: At intervals not to exceed 120 hours time in service. This Amendment becomes effective on 8 July 2004. Background: This AD has been amended to correct an error in Amendment 1 which allowed the required inspection to be deferred far longer than intended. This amendment returns the inspection interval to a maximum of 120 hours. This will allow the inspection to be carried out at the inspection for maintenance release issue for most aircraft, but in any case no later than 120 hours since the last inspection.
Amendment 1 of this AD became effective on 30 January 2004.
David Villiers Delegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority 28 May 2004
