COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
Cessna 400 Series Aeroplanes
AD/CESSNA 400/93 Amdt 1
Crossfeed Fuel Line 5/88
Applicability: Models 414 with Serial Nos 414-0001 through 414-0965.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Cessna Service Bulletin No MEB87-7 Revision 1.
Note: FAA AD 88-03-07 Amdt 39-5841 refers.
Compliance: Prior to the issue of the next Maintenance Release after 19 May 1988.
Background: The FAA has received reports of fuel leaks caused by chafing of the crossfeed fuel lines. The requirements of this AD will ensure proper clearance between the crossfeed fuel lines and firewall stiffener and eliminate the potential fire hazard due to fuel leakage. This Amendment is issued to reflect a revision of the requirement document, which requires an additional inspection.
