AD/CF6/5 Fuel Supply Manifold 9/85
Applicability: General Electric CF6-80A, -80A2 engines. Requirement: FAA TAD No. T85-15-51. Compliance: As per Requirement Document.
Background: General Electric has advised of 3 fuel supply manifolds failing due to cracking at the "Y" section. The manifolds' Part No 9327M46G01, 02, are the subject of FAA Emergency Telegraphic Airworthiness Directive T85-15-51 which requires a cycle life limit of 2500 cycles. Any manifold in service with a cycle life in excess of 2500 cycles must be replaced within 100 cycles following receipt of FAA TAD No T85- 15-51.
