Bombardier (Canadair) CL-600 (Challenger) Series Aeroplanes

AD/CL-600/28 Sunstrand Air Driven Generator 12/94

Applicability: Canadair Challenger aircraft with the following serial numbers, equipped with Sundstrand Air Driven Generator (ADG) uplock assemblies part number 721863, 721863A or 721863B:

CL-600-1A11 serial numbers 1004 to 1085 inclusive,

CL-600-2A12 serial numbers 3001 to 3066 inclusive, and CL-600-2B16 serial numbers 5001 to 5150 inclusive. Requirement: 1. Check the integrity of the ADG uplock internal pin in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions Section 2.B of Canadair Service Bulletin 600-0638 (for CL-600-1A11 aircraft) or Service Bulletin 601-0430 (for CL-600-2A12 and CL-600-2B16 aircraft) both dated 25 April 1994. (This check is not required if a modified ADG uplock assembly is installed within 150 flight hours from 10 November 1994 to satisfy Requirement 2 of this Directive).

2. Install a modified ADG uplock assembly, part number 721863C (all models) or M721863 (for CL-600-1A11 aircraft only) in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions Section 2.A of Canadair Service Bulletin 600-0638 (for CL-600-1A11 aircraft) or Service Bulletin 601-0430 (for CL-600-2A12 and CL-600-2B16 aircraft) both dated 25 April 1994.

3. Perform a rigging check in accordance with the Accomplishment Instructions Section 2.C of Canadair Service Bulletin 600-0638 (for CL-600-1A11 aircraft) or Service Bulletin 601-0430 (for CL-600-2A12 and CL-600-2B16 aircraft) both dated 25 April 1994.

Note: Transport Canada Aviation AD CF-94-13 dated 1 September 1994 refers.

Compliance: 1. Within 150 flight hours from 10 November 1994.
