Teledyne Continental Motors Piston Engines
AD/CON/68 Incorrect Oil Pick-Up Tube 1/94
Applicability: TCM O-470, IO-470, IO-520, TSIO-520 and IO-550 engines, as detailed by serial number in Teledyne Continental Motors Service Bulletin M91-10 Rev.1.
Note: This Directive is only applicable to engines rebuilt or overhauled by the manufacturer Teledyne Continental Motors, Mobile Alabama USA, prior to November 1991.
Requirement: Inspect the oil sump for evidence of an incorrect oil pick-up tube in accordance with the requirements of TCM Service Bulletin M91-10 Rev. 1. If an incorrect oil tube is installed, the oil tube and sump shall be replaced before further flight.
Note: FAA Airworthiness Directive 93-08-17 refers.
Compliance: Effective 6 January 1994:
1. Within 25 hours time in service.
2. Prior to installation in an aircraft.
