SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
Pacific Aerospace Corporation Cresco Series Aeroplanes
AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE
For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aircraft or aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section.
AD/CRESCO/1 Nose Landing Gear Cylinder Assembly 9/2000
Applicability: Cresco 08-600 series aircraft, with nose landing gear cylinder assemblies part number (P/N) 08-40035-5, fitted to aircraft serial numbers 017 through 026. Also, nose cylinder assemblies P/N 08-40051-2, S/N 027 through 082 supplied as spares. These assemblies were manufactured between March 1997 and March 2000.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Pacific Aerospace Corporation Service Bulletin PACSB/CR/022.
Note: New Zealand CAA AD DCA/CRESCO/1 refers.
Compliance: Within 100 hours time in service after 7 September 2000.
This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 7 September 2000.
Background: The NZ CAA requires certain actions to prevent a propeller ground strike; in the event of full compression of the nose landing gear and a deflated or severely flattened tyre.
