AD/DAUPHIN/24 Amdt 1
Rotating Swashplate Bearing 11/91
Applicability: All model SA 360 & 365 series helicopter on which swashplate bearing P/Nos. 704A33.651.009, 704A33.651.051, 704A33.651.080 or 704A33.651.126 is fitted.
Requirement: Action in accordance with Aerospatiale SB 65.21 Rev. 1 or 62.07 Rev. 1 as applicable.
Note: DGAC AD 91-007-031 (B) refers to initial issue of SB65.21.
Compliance: As directed in the Requirement Document with a revised effective date of 14 November 1991. This inspection may be carried out by the pilot in command in which case the precise AD reference shall be entered in a Certification made on the Maintenance Release together with any defects found during the inspection.
Background: Due to seizure of the swashplate bearing an AS 350 helicopter accident has occurred. As both swashplates are of the same design, the manufacturer has extended the inspection requirements to the Dauphin helicopter. This revision adds bearing P/No and "N" model series to this Directive.
