Applicability: All models.
Fuselage Rear Bulkhead 3/92
Requirement: Inspect the fuselage rear bulkhead, reinforcing plates and forward angle fittings in the area of the tailplane fittings in accordance with British Aerospace TNS No 183, Issue 4, dated 15 May 1991.
Note: Transport Canada AD CF-91-38 and UK CAA AD 005-05-90 refer.
Compliance: Unless already accomplished in accordance with a previous issue of this Directive, inspect:
Before further flight for the purposes of aerobatics or glider towing; Within 10 flight hours after 6 March 1992 for other flying. Thereafter inspect as specified in British Aerospace TNS 183 Para 4 (7).
Note: The Compliance date of the original issue of this Directive was 16 May 1990.
Background: Cracking of the fuselage rear bulkhead has been found in service. In most cases the reinforcing plates and forward angle fittings have also been found cracked. This amendment references Issue 4 of the Requirement document and adds a reference to the Transport Canada AD.
