Applicability: All DHC-8 series aircraft S/No 1 through 179.
Requirement: Action IAW Boeing Canada de Havilland SB 8-33-17 Revision B or later revision.
Note: Transport Canada AD CF-90-08 refers.
Compliance: The compliance date of the previous issue of this Directive was 17 May 1991. This revision is effective from 5 September 1991.
Background: In the current configuration the aircraft does not comply with the emergency lighting requirements of FAR 25.812. Transport Canada have advised of their intention to mandate compliance with this SB.
Amendment 1 to this AD is issued to correct a typographical error in the Requirement Document reference number.
