COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY
SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
Background: Some SMD45H displays exhibit a random anomaly that causes a symbology inversion of the display. This Directive requires the displays to be placarded indicating to the pilot the status of the display (ie the display has/has not been exchanged in accordance with Requirement 3) and introduces limitations into the Flight Manual restricting flight under the Instrument Flight Rules in Instrument Meteorological Conditions.
Eugene Paul Holzapfel
Delegate of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority 25 October 2001
The above AD is notified in the Commonwealth of Australia Gazette on 31 October 2001.
