COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 105 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES Eurocopter AS 350 (Ecureuil) Series Helicopters AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVE For the reasons set out in the background section, the CASA delegate whose signature appears below issues the following Airworthiness Directive (AD) under subregulation 39.1 (1) of CAR 1998. The AD requires that the action set out in the requirement section (being action that the delegate considers necessary to correct the unsafe condition) be taken in relation to the aeronautical product mentioned in the applicability section: (a) in the circumstances mentioned in the requirement section; and (b) in accordance with the instructions set out in the requirement section; and (c) at the time mentioned in the compliance section. AD/ECUREUIL/60 "NR" Indicator Lighting 3/2000 Applicability: AS 350 B3 version helicopters, which do not incorporate MOD 072810 or any other approved modification, enabling full "NR" indicator lighting in the normal and emergency modes. Requirement: Install a lighting strip (eyebrow lights) on the "NR" indicator in accordance with Eurocopter AS 350 Mandatory Service Bulletin 33.00.17. Note: DGAC AD 1999-512-077(A) refers. Compliance: Before 30 April 2000. This Airworthiness Directive becomes effective on 23 March 2000. Background: This Directive ensures that the "NR" indicator is illuminated in both the normal and emergency modes.
