AD/EMB-110/11 Elevator Trim Tab and Tail Cone Clearance - Inspection
Applicability: All model EMB-110 with S/Nos. 110001 to 110226.

Requirement: 1. Inspect for the existing clearance between the elevator trim tab and the tail cone in all possible deflections of the elevator and trim tab. This clearance must be 5mm or more at the hinge line and 10mm or more at the trim tab trailing edge.
2. If the clearance is less than those noted in paragraph 1. Modify the trim tab to obtain the necessary clearances.
Note 1: Rivet edge distance of 5mm must be maintained during modification.
Note 2: If clearances noted cannot be obtained and rivet edge distance maintained, contact manufacturer for suitable modification scheme.
Note 3: Brazilian AD 80-07-03 refers.
Compliance: Within 120 hours time in service after 31 October 1980 and there- after at any time the trim tab or tail cone is replaced.
