Elevator Trim Tab Actuation - Dual Control Rod Installation

Applicability: All model EMB-110 with S/Nos referenced in the Requirement Document. Requirement: Action in accordance with Embraer SB 110-27-068 Rev 1. Note: Brazilian AD 82-06-01 R5.
Compliance: Within 250 hours time in service after 30 November 1985.
Note: Aircraft which have complied with previous issues of this Directive require further rework in accordance with SB 110-27-068 R1.
Background: To preclude the effect of rod failure the installation of dual rods with bearings and increased weight to the elevator mass balance is now a mandatory requirement. This amendment references Rev 1 to the Requirement Document.
