Applicability: Model EMB-110 with serial numbers 110001 through 110085. Requirement: Action in accordance with Embraer Service Bulletin 110-52-0044. Note: CTA AD 97-05-01 Amdt 39-773 refers.
Compliance: Within 300 hours time in service or at the next B2 level inspection, whichever occurs first; after 14 August 1997.
Background: The CTA received reports of sheared rivets that attach the opening/closing mechanism to the locking rod's arm of the rear doors of several aircraft. This failure could result in an in-flight door opening, and possible loss of the door.
