AD/EMY/26 Emergency Evacuation Slide 9/92
Applicability: Air Cruisers Co. TSO-C69 Emergency Slide System, Part Numbers D31021-101 and -103, Serial Numbers 1 through 222, installed on but not limited to Airbus Industries Models A300 B2-1C, A300 B4-2C, A300 BA-200 and A300 B4-600 series aircraft.
Requirement: Modify and reidentify Air Cruisers Co. Evacuation Slide System, Part Number D31021-101 and -103, serial numbers 1 through 222, in accordance with Air Cruisers Co. SB 001-25-8, Revision 4, Paragraph 2, Accomplishment Instructions.
Note: FAA AD 92-10-06 Amdt 39-8240 refers.
Compliance: Prior to 20 May 1993.
Background: The FAA has received reports of slides deploying improperly. This condition, if not corrected, could result in improper inflation of the slides, which could hamper the emergency evacuation of an aircraft. The effective date required by the FAA extended by approximately two months.
