COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA (Civil Aviation Regulations 1998), PART 39 - 107 CIVIL AVIATION SAFETY AUTHORITY SCHEDULE OF AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES
Emergency Equipment
AD/EMY/29 RFD Liferaft 7/93
Applicability: RFD liferafts Type 10R MK 1 and SAR MK 1 with Serial Numbers 10R 152 through 10R 1027 and liferafts Type 14R MK 1 with Serial Numbers 14R 213 through 14R 1020.
Requirement: Action in accordance with RFD LIMITED Service Bulletin 25-69.
Note: UK CAA AD 001-02-93 refers.
Compliance: At the next repack or scheduled overhaul interval of the liferaft after 24 June 1993.
Background: This Directive requires a check to be made of the liferafts for the correct location of the bridge piece attached patches, as detailed in Service Bulletin 25-46, together with repair procedures if the installation is found to be incorrect. This condition could result in some restriction of gas flow into the fender tubes and boarding ramps.
