Engine Fire Extinguisher System 9/93
Applicability: All Model G1159 (G-II), G1159A (G-III) and G1159B (G-IIB) and G-IV aircraft.
Requirement: 1. Inspect the engine fire extinguisher system electrical power leads for the correct configuration in accordance with the following Gulfstream Alert Customer Bulletins:
G1159 and G1159B - G-II Bulletin No 2 dated 2 February 1989 G1159A - G-III Bulletin No 4 dated 2 February 1989 G-IV - G-IV Bulletin No 5 dated 2 February 1989
2. Modify the electrical leads and plumbing connections to the engine fire extinguishers in accordance with the following Gulfstream Aircraft Service Changes:
G1159 and G1159B - Gulfstream II/IIB Change 401 dated 6 December 1991 G1159A - Gulfstream III Change 195 dated 6 December 1991 G-IV - Gulfstream G-IV Change 146 dated 5 September 1991
Note: FAA AD 93-10-04 Amdt 39-8582 refers.
Compliance: The Compliance for the previous issue of this Directive was "Before next flight after 14 April 1989 following any maintenance action which could result in cross connection or misconnection of any fire extinguisher system wiring".
The Compliance for this issue is:
Requirement 1 - Before the next flight, immediately following any maintenance action which could result in cross connection or misconnection of any fire extinguisher system wiring.
Requirement 2 - Prior to 19 August 1995.
Note: Requirement 2 is considered terminating action for the repetitive inspections required by this Directive.
